This is just a quick post as I'm trying to pack up my car for the fair tomorrow. It's always difficult to know what to take but such a pleasure looking at all my stock and picking out some of my favourite things. The weekend tends to be called the Gold Hill Fair as there are dozens of antique stalls all around Shaftesbury and the famous Gold Hill. I sure I'll get a chance to sneak off from my stall and have a browse, I'm usually tempted and have had some great finds in the past.
I do hope it stays dry and sunny as I have a stall at Swans Yard near the Cygnet Centre and it's out in the open...
I always enjoy the fairs at Swans Yard, there are such interesting, varied stalls and friendly people.
This was my stall last summer, a few of my bits and pieces-

Hello Jane
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to come but I'm so far away. On the other hand, I hope to visit our local Saturday market. So, I'll be thinking of you then.
Anna
If we were just a bit nearer I would come. I love Shaftsbury. I hope the weather is fine for you and that the fair does well.
ReplyDeleteThank you both for your good wishes, have a happy weekend! The car is nearly packed now.... Jane x

ReplyDeleteHope it's fine and dry for you, Jane! I love antique fairs. I have a couple of antique shops I can walk to, near my house, and there's a massive car boot, every Saturday, in my town. All very interesting and tempting!
ReplyDeleteThe sun will shine for you, you'll see...

ReplyDeleteSo wish I had read your post on Friday and planned my weekend a little better. I would definitely have visited Gold Hill Fair if I had known it was on. I used to have a stall there several years ago - always did well and met lots of lovely people. Hope you had a good day. M x
ReplyDeleteI hope your fair went well. Since I don't live in England I couldn't be there but it would have been so much fun. Hope your week is lovely. Diane
