I feel like I've lost a very useful part of me....!

This is a short post as  I have managed to lose my beloved camera.
I can only think it fell (or was pinched) from my bag. I know I had it a week last Friday but despite scouring the house, it is not to be found.
I have been desperate to write and illustrate some new posts...
I have two new hens - who will join my present ladies

As they are not laying as well as they were last Spring...

I've been swimming in the sea -in March, I can't believe it!  I took my rather speedy dip in Man o' War Cove, just along from Lulworth- the other side of Durdle Door in Dorset.

Lulworth Cove
But there are no photographs and I have had to rootle through my old ones to just find these.

I have seen a bank of celendines that made me think of a Mediaval Tapestry and I'm aching to get out there and capture these sights and tell you about them.
I will have one last look tomorrow ( and maybe just one more at the weekend ) and then I'll have to accept my camara has gone.
Hey Ho.... the trials of 21st Century life!

  1. Jane, So sorry to hear of your lost camera. I do hope it shows up. Those eggs are lovely. I hope you are having a good week, other than the missing camera. Bonnie

    1. I am having a good week, thank you Bonnie. My hens are all chosen by the colour of eggs they lay... it is such a pretty sight, seeing them all together in a nest! Jane xx

    2. ps. Thank you for 'Tagging' me! I've just discovered your post. I have been trying to follow you and leave a comment but my computer won't let me. Answering your questions will be a perfect next (camer-less) post! Jane xx

  2. I do hope your camera shows up, and is just temporarily lost. You are brave to take a dip in the sea in March.

  3. You must sit very quietly and concentrate hard on the camera and hopefully where it is will come into your mind. Hope it wasn't stolen. I understand how you feel though and hope it turns up soon. Brave or mad to go sea swimming - I won't even paddle till July but a lovely spot. I remember bumping my eldest down the path at Durdle Door in his pushchair. He's 18 now. Karen X

    1. Hello Karen,
I've been practising positive thinking or visualisation for another thing this week and you're right, I must do the same for my camera!
You are brave to take a pushchair down there... the journey back up is SO steep! Jane xx

  4. Since I am an admitted addict, I'm afraid I would have to go without food until I could buy a new camera. To paraphrase Descartes, "I photograph, therefore I am." And by the way, to those of us from Kentucky, Man o' War is a race horse. Simply the best there ever was.

    1. I've realised what an addict I am, I feel all sort of twitchy without it! We're having an amazingly unusual warm spell in England and I'm missing so much Spring! Jane xx

  5. I think you described things very well without your camera. We have to have pictures in our mind this way. I really hope you find your camera, how distressing! Diane

    1. Hello Diane, you are right. On my trip to Dorset I felt very fed up without my camera but I practised REALLY looking and describing in my mind! Jane xx

  6. How annoying! Reminds me of when my camera developed a black 'blob' on the photos. I thought it had given up the ghost so bought another one when I could least afford it, and then blow me, the fault disappeared! I'm still using it! I hope yours turns up very soon.

  9. Sorry to hear you've lost your camera, I do hope you come across it at home as it is horrible to think someone may have stolen it! How lovely, to be swimming in the sea in March.
