One day at a time

I decided to follow my day with photographs-

the vital morning mug of tea

it's a bright start to the day

Ablutions

breakfast

unavoidable chore

watering

dealing with
emails and phone calls eats into the morning

time for a little something

This is the work  I enjoy

A quick lunch, then

I'm off

to the Dairy House Antiques

and my bookcase

where I happily add  to and re-arrange my books

the weather is still lovely

so I enjoy my journey back

there's the Spire, nearly home

spag bol for supper

too soon it's time...

for bed
Night night....

    1. Hello Ruth, you spotted the excess of tomatoes! I bought a huge bowl of them from the market and we were all eating them like mad for a few days. As to my books photo- I was doing a bit of everything- feeding the leather ones, cleaning and tidying up the others, and pricing up with the tickets I use at Dairy House- pleasant, peaceful work. Anna at ' A Taste of Italy' gave me my favourite recipe. Jane xx

  3. Dear Jane, it all Looks wonderful and charming. Being in Italy, this is just what I miss: sweet, simple life, pretty old objects, with stories to tell. I miss my old things: my cups, my pine dresser, my white and blue polka dot table cloth, my roses, my garden!

Thank you, Jane, for sharing a slice of your life... for showing your sink, your curtains and some of the little things which make you happy.

    They are all beautiful!

    Lovely... Lovely post!

    Hugs

    2. Dear Anna, I liked the thought of sharing a simple day with my blog friends. Of course not every day is so pleasant and peaceful but I wanted to remind myself what a good, happy life I have.
Enjoy the early Autumn in your beloved Italy, Hugs Jane xxx

    4. Yes, Jane... I did... I always read your posts carefully, as I love them! I'm glad you like my recipe, as it's authentic and a healthier way to make a bolognese!

I am actually really looking forward to coming back to England. Having spent some time here, I have come to realize that England is where I belong. I have memories of my life in Italy and of my mother, but now she's gone things are not the same.

It's still Summer here... no sign of any change in weather!

      Speak to you soon, Jane!

  6. Hello Elaine, Of course I'll come and say 'Hi'. I get nervous at fairs before my stand is all laid out, it seems such a daunting task at first! Jane xx
