I've just been on' Come Dine with Me'...

This is just the quickest of notes to explain my absence.
I've been on the television show ' Come Dine with Me'. It was manic, exhausting, exciting and I  have laughed more than I've ever done in my life.
The other guests and the crew were amazing...
I can't wait to tell you all about it properly when our episode has come out later in the summer.
Apart from the week's filming and dining and, of course, cooking- I seem to have spent the last few weeks desperately tidying and de-cluttering my house.

It does look nice now though, so it was worth it. Now I just have to catch up with everything in my life that was put on hold!
I hope to be back to normal very soon.

    1. I'm dying to tell everybody all the details but will have to wait until August/ September when it's out. It was SO difficult cooking in front of cameras in my tiny kitchen but the crew were all so understanding. Jane xx

I was so pleased that the garden was looking its best- there is a short period ( about 2 weeks!!!) when it actually looks as I want it to! Jane xx

  9. Hello Jane, how very exciting. I can't wait to see it and to see you in person. You are very brave, I think I would be stressed out! Your garden looks wonderful in your header picture and I can smell those gorgeous roses. I got a couple of new climbing roses this year, one hasn't got any buds at all, but the pink one has flowered and it smells divine.

Thankyou for visiting me and leaving lovely remarks. I hope you can come back down to earth now that you are a t.v. star! Much love to you, Linda x

    1. Hi Linda, I do love a rose with a good perfume, the scentless ones, however beautiful, don't seem quite right.
I've decided to remain a Diva and not return to everyday life.....Jane xx

  11. OOOH How exciting! Brave you! Can't wait to find out when your programme is going to be aired and to seeing the other contestants along with you. I can't help but admit to being slightly addicted to this programme and seeing the sometimes larger than life diners! As a matter of interest what made you decide to do it?

  12. How exciting - and yes - how INCREDIBLY brave of you too! Not to sure that I could stand to hold my cooking (or my house) - up to such intense scrutiny! Let us know when to look out for your episode - naturally we'll be rooting for you to win!
    Kind regards,
    Paula x

  13. Hello Paula, I did find cooking on camera really nerve wracking, I was worried I might do something like lick the spoon and then use it again! It was hard to manage the timing of the meal too. It should be shown end of August beginning of September but I'll let everybody know. Jane xx
