Just to explain...

When a Shingle is single
There’s an unpleasant tingle
But as it increases
Pain cuts you to pieces
The vile rash is conducive
To becoming reclusive
All this being said...
I’m staying in bed!

My apologies to all for my lack of presence here. I haven't written, replied or visited for simply ages!
I had a bad flare up of my Fibromyalgia and now am battling with an attack of shingles.
I hope to be back in the land of the living soon...

  1. Oh, poor you. Shingles is not nice at all ... my mum had it a couple of years ago and really suffered. My son also had it a year or so ago, aged only 9, but luckily it was very mild although he still has scars around his middle. Hope you get better very soon.

  7. Dear Jane,

I hope you get well, soon! I have never had shingles, but I know it's painful!
I am at my new house in Italy, where it's hot, sunny and the sky is always blue.

I know it's warm in England, but... I'm sending you a bit of sunshine, as I know that in England it never lasts!

  8. Oh Jane, you poor poor thing! I have recently been in contact with a couple of people with Fybro Myalgia, and it's a most awful thing without having shingles on top. You are so brave and lovely to entertain us with witty poetry. I do wish you a speedy recovery, and hope you have someone to pamper you. With all my love, Linda xx

  13. So sorry to read about wretched Shingles - it is a most painful condition so I wish you a speedy recovery. Did you write the poem? How lovely (if that is ok to say in the circumstance)
    Best wishes
